As a therapist I’m always learning to make sure I’m showing up for you in the best way that I can, as well as not go stagnant or stay in the past. With that said, I rely on 3 top approaches when it comes to Individual Therapy.

Emotion Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT)

EFIT helps individuals understand and transform emotional patterns that keep them stuck. Grounded in attachment science, it creates a safe space to explore core feelings, heal past wounds, and build emotional security from the inside out. This approach supports clients in developing deeper self-trust and more secure, meaningful connections with others.

Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB)

IPNB explores how the brain, mind, and relationships shape one another. Early experiences wire how we regulate emotions and connect with others. Through safe, attuned experiences, the brain can rewire and heal. This approach emphasizes emotional safety, integration, and the power of present-moment connection to support lasting change. By strengthening these pathways, clients develop greater resilience, self-awareness, and capacity for secure connection.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS views the mind as made up of different “parts,” each carrying emotions and roles formed through life experiences. Instead of trying to silence or fight these parts, we learn to listen to them with compassion. By reconnecting with the Self — our calm, wise inner core — we can heal protective wounds, reduce inner conflict, and foster integration. This gentle, empowering approach helps clients feel more whole, grounded, and at peace with their inner world.

Trauma-Informed

A trauma-informed approach recognizes that emotional pain isn’t just in the past — it lives in our nervous system, relationships, and sense of self.

EFIT helps build safety through secure emotional connection. IPNB highlights how connection and attunement can rewire the brain for healing. IFS offers a compassionate way to meet and integrate the inner parts shaped by past wounds.
